Product Sourcing Specialist (Thailand)

We are looking to add a person to our sourcing team who will be based in Thailand. Your experience in multiple industries will provide invaluable input in terms of sourcing, developing and proposing solutions based on our client's requirements. This role has a continuous interface with our Singapore-based sourcing team. The ability to speak English is essential.

Job description

Supplier Development Engineer (Singapore)

We are looking for a Suppler Development Engineer (SDE) to join our team to develop and improve supplier performance to ensure a long-term supply of quality parts. The SDE will act as the primary collaborator with suppliers at the very outset of any project to identify and improve quality system and process improvement opportunities.

This role has a continuous interface with our Singapore-based sourcing team. The ability to speak Mandarin is essential.

Frequent travel is required.

Job description

  • Provide guidance to suppliers in terms of meeting the quality principles around part and process qualification. This will include working with suppliers in the development of control plans, FMEA, process flow charts, inspection plans and measurement methods.
  • Manage the production part approval process to ensure that customer specifications and requirements are met and approval report is submitted on time.
  • Assist the suppliers in development and improvement of production and inspection documents.
  • Perform audits to assess the supplier’s capability of reliably providing quality products. This will include working with the suppliers to ensure that the audit findings are addressed properly.
  • Work closely with Product Sourcing Team to identify and resolve sourcing and supplier quality system deficiencies.

Training, education & experience

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in electronic assembly, plastic, medical or automotive design and manufacturing environment with in-Depth training in Quality Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
  • Minimum 7 years hands-on experience in conducting part and process qualification studies
  • Auditing experience, preferably as per ISO 13485, TS16949 standards and requirements
  • Deep familiarity with Root Cause Analysis methodologies.

Quality Engineer (Thailand) 

Job description:

  • Perform incoming, in-process and outgoing quality control inspections
  • Develop and implement quality metrics to drive manufacturing improvements
  • Manage production documentation including changes impacting them
  • Coordinate complaint related activities to resolution. Directly liaise with internal / external customers & suppliers to ensure problems are adequately defined and both containment and corrective actions address the issues.
  • Coordinate supplier management processes from supplier qualification to continuous supplier performance assessment
  • Update relevant procedures to comply with both customer & ISO standard requirements.
  • Assisting the Quality Manager in implementing internal and external audit systems

Training, education & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent

Job description:

  • Supervise Productoin staff - organize & monitor workflow.
